We had a long day planned with lots to see so we truly were out the door early. Our first stop was the Barnum Museum from Barnum & Bailey Circus fame. It is an amazing collection of items from throughout his life. If you are into the circus or you find this type of thing fascinating…or maybe my post will take care of that need for now! I included all of the pictures. I find it all so fascinating it was difficult to decide what not to include…the building with the 815…I only took that picture because 815 is my birthday. 🙂 I know you can Google the address but let me save you a few seconds…it is 820 Main St, Bridgeport, CT
Our next stop was the Beardsley Zoo, also in Bridgeport…1875 Noble Ave, Bridgeport, CT
I love a zoo that is a shelter for injured animals and I don’t know if that is Beardsley’s mission but there were a few stops in the zoo where there were signs about an animal being brought there or sent there for rehabilitation or as a forever home. There were about 175 pictures and I discovered quite a few were duplicates. I did delete a lot of pictures and tried to delete any duplicates. Enjoy the zoo!
I can’t remember if we planned the stop at the Pez Museum or if we just happened on it and decided to stop but we both grew up with Pez and were curious what would be inside…everything…including a motorcycle! If you didn’t grow up with Pez, here is a little flashback of history. Once again way to many cool items to decide what to leave out so I included all…I have to confess, I did not search for duplicates…there may be. Sorry!
Another stop I am not sure we planned was Paradice Cream 3600 Main St, Stratford, CT
Yes…the spelling is correct. This shop if I remember correctly is run by teens. They have a set up to show support for one high school on one side of the shop and another high school on the other side. They have ice cream, cake, juice, and Smoothies…all good! This area of Main St has many things to visit and explore so find a parking spot, get an ice cream or drink and walk Main St and explore.
After enjoying a tasty ice cream we headed back to the hotel to clean up and head out for dinner. Tonight’s fine dining was at a lovely Italian place named Amici’s. There are several Amici’s in the towns around our hotel…the one we enjoyed was at 500-C Howe Ave, Shelton, CT.
Tomorrow will be time to go home. Another fun vacation with my bestie, Thelma in the books. We did make one stop on the way home…I talked her into enjoying a diner with me! I have seen the sign on the highway for years and I decided it was time to stop. I was very happy she was agreeable…it is the little things in life that make me happy and a stop at Cromwell Diner – 135 Berlin Rd, Cromwell, CT.

Next outing is a day in Worcester. There was a new restaurant that opened and Thelma wanted to try it out, there was an amazing cupcake shop next door and then we headed to visit a place in town I was curious about…you’ll have to come back to see where we go!
